Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DeepAnchor Studio LLC ("we," "us," "our") governing your use of the AskScripture mobile application ("the app") and our website at deepanchorstudio.com.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Eligibility and Family Use

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. AskScripture is designed for family use: a parent or guardian may create child profiles and allow supervised use by children. If you create child profiles, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian and have authority to provide that information and consent to its processing as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your Account

You sign in using Apple or Google via our authentication provider, Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and sign-in credentials and for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account.

3. The Service

AskScripture provides Scripture-related answers to text and voice questions, personalized to the faith background you and your family provide. Answers are generated with the assistance of third-party AI services (Azure OpenAI for text, and LiveKit with Azure Speech for voice), as described in the Privacy Policy. You must grant explicit in-app consent before your data is shared with these AI services.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its infrastructure.
• Submit content that infringes others' rights or that is abusive, harmful, or unlawful.
• Enter another person's personal information as a child profile without the right to do so.

5. Reporting Content

If you encounter an AI-generated response that is inappropriate or harmful, you can report it in the app, and you may also contact us at support@deepanchorstudio.com.

6. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, and its original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Scripture texts are used under their applicable terms. You retain ownership of the questions and profile content you submit; you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and provide the service.

7. Third-Party Services

The app relies on third-party services including Clerk, Google Firestore, Sentry, Microsoft Azure OpenAI, LiveKit, and Azure Speech. Your use of the app is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated answers are accurate, complete, or theologically correct.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its AI-generated content.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
